Chinese Medicine is a complete system that has been developed and continually practiced for over 5000 years. Illness and pain are signs of imbalance within the body, mind or spirit. Because the human body is constantly striving towards homeostasis, health is the path of least resistance. Chinese Medicine enhances our ability to self regulate and guides us towards optimal well being by clearing this path and bringing balance to all systems. Methods of treatment include acupuncture, moxa, gua sha, food therapy, herbal formulas and exercise.
Acupuncture enhances physiology by stimulating the body's own functions of self-healing and self-regulation. Hair fine needles are inserted in specific points and are virtually painless. Acupuncture can be used for chronic or acute conditions. It is commonly used to improve digestion, sleep, and emotional well being; relive pain, stress, and fatigue; and address symptoms of the cardiovascular, neurological, endocrine and reproductive systems.
Cupping, Moxa, Gua Sha and Tuina
Cupping, Moxa Gua Sha and Tuina are adjunct therapies used in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
